Michael's Surprise Show
Michael's
surprise show is an unpredictable and inspiring journey into the world
of Puppets.
The walls of Michael's workshop are full of surprises and all things are
possible, shoes speak, tennis balls demand their rights, even his broom
has an attitude. A basket full of discarded junk is a treasure chest in
the hands of Michael Wolski. The most inanimate object transforms into
something rare and wonderful before your eyes.
Throughout Michael's Surprise show he shares his secrets of creation with
his audience, inviting them to explore the world around them with the
eyes and hands of a puppeteer.
Maggie's
Garden
The
main characters in Maggie's Garden are a 6.5 foot horse named Maggie and
her little 2.5 foot friend Robin, a young girl.
Maggie has a reverence for the natural world which inspires Robin to plant
a garden of her own. "Planting a seed is one of the most miraculous
things you can do" explains Maggie. "Do you want to see magic
happen? Then put this seed in the soil, tend it and watch."
In the interplay between these two friends, and their interaction with
a variety of talking vegetables & dancing earthworms, lots of fun
information about gardening & growing is shared with the children.
The fact that potatoes and carrots grow under the ground "Like buried
treasure!". That frogs and newts are the farmers friends and the
wonders of composing are just a few examples.
Robin continually interacts with the children in the audience engaging
them directly in her exploration of farming. The show, while emphasizing
the wonder of growing things, addresses the practical side of gardening.
We see Maggie and Robin performing their daily tasks of watering and weeding.
The children experience the commitment it takes to tend a garden and the
rewards of that commitment. Each School performance of Maggie's garden
will incorporate a visit with a local farmer linking the children at a
perfect age with the concepts and practices of buying and thinking locally.

William K. Whiskers
In
this fun-filled 40 minutes, master puppeteer and puppet maker Michael
Wolski shares the charming world of William K. Whiskers.
One by one, Whiskers introduces us to many of his favorite friends.
Meet Isabelle, a tiny puppet who lives in a tea kettle and bakes cookies;
Billy Take The Garbage Out, a marionette who lives behind the fence with
his dog, an old singing shoe and many others!
Recycling is a prominent theme in Whisker's world. Can you guess what
he makes from a discarded bucket, oven mitt, an egg beater and a toilet
plunger? You'll be amazed!
"...imaginative,
innovative and original fun..."
Dr.
Marmalaid
Dr.
Marmalaid has traveled the world helping animals in distress. Her gentle,
empowering methods leave everyone with a sense of well-being and adventure.
She introduces the children to many puppet friends: a gorilla with a belly
ache, a singing dinosaur, a snake that wants to be a kitty, a giraffe,
crow, rabbit and many others. All the animals come to Marmalaid for help.
The children become her assistants giving hugs, words of encouragement,
and even translating for a lost puppy. A beautiful map is the backdrop
for Dr. Marmalaid's world. Her traveling "Emerge-And-See" Wagon
will surprise and delight.
"...excellent
entertainment that has captivated young and old."
